We stopped in at Gar's Lounge and were seriously impressed. It’s a great small-town bar and restaurant with a laid-back, welcoming vibe. We ordered the Gar Burger and a side of onion rings, and everything exceeded expectations. The Gar Burger was absolutely amazing—huge, juicy, and packed with flavor. It’s one of those burgers that actually lives up to the hype and then some. You definitely won’t leave hungry. The onion rings were just as good—crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked, and a great match with the burger. Overall, it’s a great spot for good food, big portions, and that classic small-town feel. We’ll definitely be back.

I visited marinetime festival days and decided to give the local burger joint a try. First I must say place wasn’t packed about 1/3 full and it took 40 minutes to get food. The burger is okay not the best burger in the county by far. It was decent. The issue for 15.00 burger with no fries wasn’t worth the value. Also my biggest upset was the plastic dollar store silverware noted in picture. The waitress Mary was amazing though did her job very well and got a nice tip for her service, not the food!

This was my first time ever coming here, and it was an awful experience. I came one July 4th, around 3pm with my family, and the customer service was awful. The waitresses/bartender were very rude. They were very cold and standoffish. We waited for an hour to get our food, even just our salad. When they finally did come with our food, the waitress yelled at my aunt for trying to help her by grabbing the salad out of her hands. They did not come to check on us one time, or offer refills. Over all not a good experience, I do not recommend.

Have had several sandwiches and all good and very big! Last night we had the corned beef and a regular burger with all the trimmings. Lively with lots of patrons enjoying themselves and super nice bartenders! I also like the chicken club which is grilled. My kind of bar! Music, big beer boomba, fresh popcorn… 1/2# Special Gar burger with bacon, mushroom and Swiss… only could eat half! Was medium well done just as I prefer my burger, and was still a two napkin juicy burger. Definitely recommend the old school long bar, tables and picnic tables for a game. They now have full sports package for two years! Don’t miss the very large pool table room (2 tables) with big window street view. We will be back for a game for sure.

The menu is a bit limited for vegetarians, but the salad I had was fresh and delicious. We’ve lived in Marine City for 5 years and this was our first time here. Our friend ordered a beer and the pour was definitely fit for a king! The staff was friendly and welcoming. And just a tip—one order of tater tots is plenty… they give you a ton!
